New South Wales also has a string of sparkling beaches stretching from north to south, which includes excellent city beaches for sunbathing and surfing, such as Bondi Beach Tamarama and Bronte. But if you’re here for the waves – then set off for Byron Bay at the northern tip of NSW, better known as 'the surfing Mecca'.
