In 1990 Bruce Poon Tip launched G.A.P Adventures with the belief that other travellers would share his desire to experience authentic adventures in a responsible and sustainable manner. Established since 1983, Kumuka, whose name originates from Africa, and translates in to ‘the start of a journey’, has taken travellers to many parts of the globe, offering an extraordinary range of trips. Beginning with one expedition vehicle and a Trans Africa tour, we have steadily extended and broadened our operations, which now include tours to Africa, Asia, Antarctica, Latin America, North America, Europe and The Middle East. As Kumuka has grown so do the expectations of it’s clients, and we continue to be true to our roots, catering for all manner of travellers united by a single desire: to experience their holiday to the maximum.
