When travelling through the country of Venezuela – one must visit Angel Falls. This waterfall is the highest in the world, and comes with an abundance of natural wonders and lovely colonial towns. Angel Falls is one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the world, and is found in the Canaima National Park – that has an abundance of delightful waterfalls, lagoons and flat-topped mountains called tepuyes. The total height of the falls is 978m from the summit of the Auyan Tepuy – making it is the world's highest waterfall with an 807m uninterrupted drop. The area is filled with grasslands, with some dense jungle along the course of the rivers.

Throughout the park you will see many local Pemon Indian settlements in this sparsely populated land, which covers an area of 30,000sq/km. You will never forget the beauty of this “lost world” region, and its incredible variety of tropical wildlife – including monkeys, poison arrow frogs and hundreds of species of orchids. Beside the monkeys, mammals in the area can be difficult to spot but include giant anteaters, armadillos, porcupines, three-toed sloths, otters, jaguars, pumas, tapirs and capybaras.
